EK42(GOST) - High speed tool steel, no direct analogs in western alloys. According to its official description, used for tool making. Good wear resistance and toughness. Contains rather unusual elements by spec, such as B(Boron) and62-6 Calcium(Ca). I've seen Boron in other alloys, very small amounts, but Calcium is really uncommon. Titanium(Ti) is also present, which is rather common for Russian tool steels.

Manufacturing Technology - Ingot

Country - Russia(RU)

Known Aliases:
GOST - 9X4M3F2AGST, GOST - 9KH4M3F2AGST
